New Zealand shifts ACL and ISCM festivals to 2022

UPDATED: The Composers Association of New Zealand (CANZ)  hosts the next ACL festival in Christchurch. Originally scheduled  in April 2020, the Covid-19 pandemic has forced the event to be moved to 2022.

Originally, it was to run from Monday 27th April, till the evening of Saturday 2nd May. Many festival events will combine with the ISCM World New Music Days until 30th April, and the final two days will be ACL only.

The ACL General Assembly meetings was to take place on the mornings of 28th April and 1st May in central Christchurch, and the Country Reports will be presented on the mornings of 29th and 30th April.

Simultaneously, the ISCM World New Music Days was to commence in Auckland on Tuesday 21st April and then move to Christchurch on 27th April.  Information is available at www.iscm2020.nz.

Malaysians featured at the ACL Festival are composers Adeline Wong, Tazul Tajuddin and young composer Ilysia Tan, the latter whom will represent Malaysia at the Young Composers Competition. Information on the new dates will be announced by CANZ at the appropriate time in the future.
