Congratulations to Tan Zhi Yong (far left) and Lim Yu-Yao (far right) for their winning commissioned works from Free Hand Festival 2023. The winner for the best performance of Zhi Yong’s work, “Baby Step” (Young Artist Category) is Liang Ray-Heng and the winner for Yu-Yao’s work, “Pitter- patter” (Senior Category) is Goh Kai Cheng. Both works were premiered at the UCSI’s 6th International Piano Festival and Competition on June 9th 2024 in Kuala Lumpur. The awards were presented by Yang Berbahagia Professor Datuk In-se-nieur Technologist Dr Siti Hamisah binti Tapsir, UCS| Group Chief Executive Officer and UCSI University Vice-chancellor and Senior Professor Dr P’ng Tean Hwa, Professor and Director of the Institute of Music at UCSI University. |
