Painting through sound: new piano music at Aswara


In August, Aswara held a recital.art exhibition marrying the idioms of music and contemporary art. Nine composers were commissioned to write piano music inspired by the artworks of two local artists.

The nine composers are ACL award winners Ainolnaim Azizol and Jessica Cho, Chan Wei Tuck, Lee Chie Tsang, Sayyid Shafiee, Loh Chan Hong, Caeleb Tee, Rayner Naili, and Jamie Tan.
